The Gasthaus Zum Schwarzen Bären lies in the very heart of the Swiss Alps. It is situated in the centre of the village of Andermatt, at the foot of the world-renowned north-south alpine transverse route across the Gotthard Pass. In the summer, Andermatt is the ideal departure point for excursions into any of Switzerland's four linguistic regions. Whether by car, racing bike or mountain bike, the alpine routes will take you within a short space of time to any one of a number of beautiful, much-loved mountain passes. Our guests have no less than 500 km of hiking paths at their disposal. Come to Andermatt and take full advantage of the wide range of sports and facilities on offer, including tennis, riding, golf, fishing, hang-gliding, fitness studios and a children's playground. In winter, the holiday village of Andermatt provides you with
a network of over 60 km of downhill ski pistes and more than 20 km of
cross-country trails, all of the finest quality and suited to every
age and ability. Ask in the local tourist office about our ski school
and its children's programme. Enjoy our range of après-ski activities
and try your hand at ice-skating, curling, "Eisstockschiessen" or tobogganing,
or take a ride with a horse-drawn carriage through the snow-covered
winter landscape. |
